AVC Softball beat East LA College 7-0 in their home opener on Tuesday.
The Marauders got on the board with 3 runs in the 2nd inning, led by a 2-RBI single from Savannah Cervantes. AVC then added two runs in the 5th inning and two more in the 7th, while Annalise Wagner did the heavy work in the circle with no earned runs and 3 strikeouts in just over six innings of work.
The Marauders totaled 7 runs off 7 hits with no errors. Cervantes finished 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, while Alanna Hernandez went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI. Kylie Zinn and Natasha Arroyo had a hit and an RBI each.
AVC is 3-2 on the season and has a road game against Mt. San Antonio before returning home to face Riverside on February 7th at 2:00 pm.
