AVC Softball topped the Victor Valley Rams in their last game before conference play begins.
The Marauders scored first in the 2nd inning with an RBI triple from Ashley Mcirvin. Alexa Alvarez then singled to score Mcirvin.
Victor Valley tied it at 2-2 in the 3rd inning with two unearned runs. Antelope Valley would answer with a run in the 4th off an RBI single from Jessica Munoz, which scored Alvarez.
The Marauders opened up the lead in the 5th inning with three more runs. It was Mcirvin again with a two-RBI double. Mcirvin finished 2-3 with 3 RBI. Alexa Alvarez then hit a double to score Mcirvin. Alvarez ended 2-4 with 2 RBI.
Jessica Munoz finished 2-4 with an RBI. Nayely Delgado went 1-2 and scored twice, while Pricilla Gomez was 1-3 and scored once.
Maritza Arroyo went 2-3 while striking out 8 in the circle. Arroyo gave up no earned runs in four innings of work. Freshman pitcher Bailey Damian went three innings giving up just one hit and no earned runs while striking out four batters.
AVC will begin conference play on Thursday against LA Valley at 2:30 pm at Marauder Softball Stadium.
