LANCASTER - Alexis Robles hit her fourth home run of the season and Taylor Roberts hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning which proved to be the game-winner as the Marauder softball got past Ventura, 3-2, at Marauder Stadium.
Robles' home run came in the bottom of the fourth inning with Samantha Arriola on which gave the Marauders a 2-0 lead. The Pirates responded in the top of the fifth inning following a single by Kaylee Neal which tied the score, 2-2.
Roberts, who allowed only two runs on six hits, came up in the bottom of the sixth inning and smacked a home run to put her team up, 3-2. Roberts pitched a scoreless top of the seventh inning to secure the victory.
