AGUIRRE TAKES 11TH IN OXNARD

OXNARD - Samuel Aguirre finished 11th in the opening race of the 2017 season for the Marauder men's cross country team at the Oxnard Invitational.

Aguirre finished with a time of 21.36.60. Glendale College's Raymond Lopez won the race in 19:57.26. He was the only racer to break the 20-minute mark.

AVC's Fernando Flores (22:53.39) finished 33rd and teammates Nicholas Franco (23:38.35) and Matthew Rose (24:00.69) finished 45th and 48th place respectively.

Glendale won the team title and six of its runners finished in the top eight. AVC finished seventh overall.
