AVC men's soccer won a non-conference match against the Moorpark Raiders 3-2 on Friday. The home win pulled the Marauders to 2-2-1 on the season.
After going up 1-0 from an Alex Araiza penalty kick, AVC surrendered a goal towards the end of the first period and another towards the beginning of the second. Down 2-1, Dean Saari stepped up with a pair of goals in the 59:00 minute and at the 63:26 mark. Salvador Luviano assisted both goals. Saari leads AVC in goals on the season with four, followed by Araiza's two.
AVC will look to build on the win with a road contest against Long Beach on Tuesday.
