The 6'0 Midfielder from Quartz Hill High School played two seasons for Antelope Valley College, competing in 28 games and helping the Marauders to 17 wins. Gonzalez recently received Defensive Player of the Year honors from the California Community College Athletic Association's Western State Conference. He also selected to the All-South California State Region Team.
"I'm very proud of Dylan because of his hard work ethic, improved tactical awareness and his maturation in this process and journey to get him to Division 1. He did everything asked of him in off-season training and in the classroom to award him this opportunity, and he is an incredible athlete. He will make a tremendous impact at California State University Northridge's Soccer program, being my alma mater makes it even sweeter!" said head coach Jerry Stupar.
The Matadors compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Big West Conference. They have made seven appearances in the NCAA Division I Tournament and finished 8-8-3 this past season, with wins over Ohio State University, University of Washington, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.
