GLENDALE - The Marauder men's soccer team lost its second game in a row following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Glendale College, Friday afternoon.
With the loss AVC dropped to 0-2 in conference, while the Vaqueros, which only have three wins on the season, improved their conference record to 2-0. The Marauders lost their opening conference game to Citrus College, which is also 2-0 in conference play.
AVC got things rolling early in the first half, only 11 minutes in when last year's conference Player of the Year Jose Mojica scored an unassisted goal giving the Marauders the early lead, 1-0. However, that would be AVC's only goal of the game.
Glendale (3-7-3) rallied in the first half following a goal by Fabricio Bonilla at the 30-minute mark, to even the score, 1-1. The Vaqueros' Jesus Rodriguez scored the game-winner at 79:46 to seal the victory.
