AVC Men's Golf played their first match of the season after a one-week delay due to bad weather. The match took place at the River Ridge Golf Course, hosted by Ventura College.
The team came up short on their individual goals but showed many positive signs to build on. Tanner Klundt struggled to get his putter going but still managed to post a respectable score of 79. Drew Degeorge showed resilience by bouncing back from a disappointing start to shoot one over on the back nine and 83 overall. Ethan Phillips was one stroke behind Degeorge, followed by Connor Jazwiecki and Luke Carnegie.
With heavy rain forecasted, AVC's next match at Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Santa Barbara has been moved from Feb. 19 to Feb. 26.
