MEN'S GOLF IMPROVES AT RIVER RIDGE
Men's Golf finished 7th but are headed in the right direction as they ended 8 shots better than the previous week.
Marauder Men's Golf competed at Ventura College's home course, River Ridge Golf Course on Monday. They finished 7th but are headed in the right direction as they ended 8 shots better than the previous week. Tanner Klundt led AVC with an 81, followed by Daniel Degeorge, and Drew Degeorge, who both shot 83. Regarding Tanner's score, head coach Brad Hazard commented, "Sometimes it takes the freshman some time to adjust to the level of competition that we see weekly in the Western States Conference. It was good to see him play with more confidence today, and I look forward to seeing him post some low scores in the future."
Luke Carnegie and Anthony Minner finished 4th and 5th for the Marauders. Their next match will be on March 6th at Santa Maria CC (Allan Hancock). "I'm confident that we will see the scores continue to improve. We're headed in the right direction, and we look forward to being back in conference competition at Santa Maria," added coach Hazard.
