SWEITZER LEADS MARAUDERS TO BEST TEAM SCORE OF THE SEASON AT AVCC

Andrew Sweitzer shot a team-best of 77 as AVC hosted a Western State Conference match at Antelope Valley Country Club on Monday. Sweitzer had birdies on holes 9 and 14. He was 3 strokes over through 15 holes but shot a bogey on 16 and 17. His 77 was good enough for a top-ten finish on the day. "It was great to finally put a solid round together after a rough start to the season. It feels good to see the work I've been putting in start to pay off," said Sweitzer.

Head coach Brad Hazard commented, "This is what we have expected out of Andrew all season. He came in well prepared and played with confidence today. When dialed in, he has the ability to compete with anyone in this conference, and I look forward to seeing him continue to have success in the second half of the season."

Derrick Rossmango had the second-best score for the Marauders at 83. AVC finished 6 shots ahead of Allan Hancock for 7th Place as a team. Next week, the team will travel to Ventura for the So Cal Preview at Olivas Links Golf Course.
