The average score for the field was 86 as the course played extremely difficult with afternoon winds and challenging pin locations. Coming off of a solid start to the season with two rounds in the 70s last weekend at La Purisma, Rossmango was effective from the tees but struggled to get his wedges going. "I know Derrick was disappointed with his play today... but I have confidence in his ability to improve," said head coach Brad Hazard.
Andrew Sweitzer had the second-best score for AVC with an 88. "Andrew has tons of talent but hasn't been consistent with his play. I look for him to break out next week at River Ridge," remarked Hazard.
In team scores, Canyons took first, with Ventura and Santa Barbara following. AVC finished 8th. The Marauders will play in Ventura at River Ridge Golf Course next, on Monday, February 14.
