HOFFMEYER SHOOTS 80 FOR MARAUDER MEN'S GOLF

SOLVANG - Despite poor conditions, Trevor Hoffmeyer shot an 80 at the Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Solvang for the Marauder men's golf team which was hosted by Santa Barbara City College.

"The guys have been spending more time working on their games and it's showing as we continue to see improvement with our team score," AVC head coach Brad Hazard said. "It was good to see him (Hoffmeyer) have a respectable round by shooting 80 on a cold and windy day. I know he is capable of consistently shooting in the 70s to low 80s. I'm hoping this round gives him some confidence as we prepare for next week."

As a team the Marauders improved their score by a total of 24 strokes from last week. AVC finished seventh overall as the match was won by College of the Canyons.

Zack Silerman of Glendale shot the low round with a 73.
