MARAUDER MEN'S GOLF TAKES SIXTH IN BAKERSFIELD
BAKERSFIELD - Marauder men's golf coach Brad Hazard was pleased with his team's performance on Monday in Bakersfield to open the season.
The Marauders have only one sophomore on the team and many new faces.
"I was pleased to see us beat two teams (on Monday)," Hazard said. "It was a good start to the season."
Aaron Volkenant shot an 82 (+8) to lead AVC. Joey Herrera of Ventura College was the low scorer with a 70 (-2).
All other Marauders finished in the 90's, including Sire Olmstead (91), Henry Lauer (94), Garrett Stover (95) and Steven Sevenich (96).
AVC finished with a total score of 458 to finish sixth, ahead of Victor Valley College (462) and host Bakersfield College (464). College of the Canyons won the match with a combined score of 374.
