Marauder Men's Basketball won a close contest 72-68 against LA Harbor on Saturday.
The Marauders took control early and outscored the Seahawks 36-28 in the first half. Josh Montiano had 15 first-half points.
LA Harbor gained momentum in the second half and led by as many as 4 with under 9 minutes to play. It was Xa Landry's 13-point second half that fueled the attack. Mortiano led AVC with 17 points, while Landry had 15 with 4 assists.
Malik Larane had 10 points off the bench, and Omari Mathis had a game-high 7 rebounds with 8 points. Malachi Jones chipped in 7 points and 5 steals on the day.
The win pushed the Marauders to 4-6 on the season. They are on the road for the rest of 2023 with games against Rio Hondo, East LA, San Diego Mesa, and Cuyamaca. They'll return home in 2024 and start WSC Conference play at West LA and then at home against LA Valley on Saturday, January 13th, at 3:00 pm.
