Marauder Men's Basketball got a 78-65 conference win over the LA Valley Monarchs on Wednesday.
After losing to the Monarchs earlier this season, AVC came out with a revamped game plan that resulted in an 11-point lead by halftime. The Marauders continued the solid play in the second half outscoring LA Valley 35-33. AVC got it done by shooting almost 52% from the field, including making 8-19 from behind the 3-point line.
Antelope Valley was led by Jonathan Daniels, who had a game-high 24 points, going 8-15 and 4-5 from behind the arch. He also went 4-4 from the free-throw line. Dakhari Lewis had a game-high 7 rebounds to go along with 10 points and 3 assists, while Lucas Bagsik led all players with 8 assists to accompany his 9 points. Josh Montiano finished with 11 points, while Jaquae Franklin had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Gerrod Franklin chipped in 8 points as well.
The Marauders have stops at Santa Monica and Canyons before returning home on February 11th to face Bakersfield.
