Men's Basketball won their first conference game on Wednesday with a 79-78 victory over Santa Monica College.
AVC took an 8-point deficit into the locker room at the halfway mark but was able to up their offensive output in the second half. They finished shooting 44% from the field while limiting Santa Monica to 35%.
Virgil Mahoney had a team-high 25 points to go along with a game-high 13 rebounds in a tight contest. Jonathan Daniels had 19 points, while Lucas Bagsik had a game-high 7 assists with 5 rebounds.
Da'Jour Lewis chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds, and Stephon Mahoney had 10 points.
The Marauders, now 8-6, will face Canyons on the road on Saturday before returning home to battle Glendale College on Wednesday, January 19th at 5:00 pm.
