EL CAJON - Greg Floyd led the Marauder men's basketball team with 19 points and added 10 rebounds to lead AVC to an easy 77-52 victory against San Diego Mesa, in the opening round of the Cuyamaca College Tournament on Thursday afternoon.
With the victory the Marauders will face the ninth ranked team in the state, East LA, which defeated Cypress earlier in the day.
Floyd was one of four AVC players to score in double figures, including D'Mauria Jones (14 points), Julian Payton (12 points) and Osi Nwachukwu (12 points). Both Payton and Jones contributed with seven assists each.
