OCEANSIDE - A last second 3-pointer by Bakersfield College's Treyvon Armstrong missed the mark and the Marauder men's basketball team will go down in history as the first-ever Mira Costa Tournament champions, holding off the Renegades, 77-75, Thursday afternoon.
Antone Warren came off the bench to score 20 points and grab seven rebounds and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. D'Mauria Jones, also came off the bench to score 16 points and was selected to the All-Tourney Team. Cory Dollarhide was the other AVC (12-6) player to score in double figures as he finished with 14 points.
The Marauders have won four games in a row including seven of their last eight and 11 of 13.
