SAN BERNARDINO - The Marauder men's basketball team took home the consolation championship by defeating Riverside City College with a come-from-behind 79-71 victory, Sunday afternoon at San Bernardino College.
AVC exacted some revenge against the Tigers, as Riverside defeated the Marauders 86-75 in the Ventura Tournament earlier this season. The Tigers (6-2) won the tournament in Ventura.
Cory Dollarhide led the Marauders with 21 points, including shooting 4-of-4 from 3-point range. Charles Hall finished with 11 points and was 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Antone Warren nearly picked up his second consecutive double-double finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds.
After a season opening victory against Orange Coast College, the Marauders dropped four games in a row by an average of five points per game. However, AVC has won two games in a row and could by possibly finding its rhythm. The Marauders (3-4) were 11-of-15 from 3-point range.
