AVC Football suffered a 48-7 loss to College of the Canyons at home on Saturday. The Marauders remain winless on the season and have lost 13 straight contests dating back to September of last year.
AVC's 7 points came from a 39-yard touchdown pass to Omar Lopez from Sharmon Rester. Lopez finished with 2 catches for 43 yards and a score, while Damario Jackson led the Marauders in receiving with 6 catches for 58 yards. Dakota Yateman-Foster had a game-high 83 yards rushing off 16 carries.
Marzeal Smith and Chas Milner led the defense with 5 tackles each.
After a BYE this week, AVC will try to get their first win of the season on the road at Santa Barbara on Oct. 19.
