JONES COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO

Marauder Athletics congratulates Davon "Day Day" Jones, who has committed to continue his football and academic career at the University of San Diego. Jones accumulated 15 touchdowns and over 1,535 yards during his stay at Antelope Valley College. His AVC career includes a 137-yard, 3-touchdown game against Sequoias in 2021 and a 156-yard performance in the 2022 season against LA Valley. Jones will also go down in AVC's history books with a record-tying 4-touchdown game against Victor Valley on November 16th, 2019. His record for most touchdown passes in a game (4) is shared with Derek Denton (2015 vs. Santa Monica) and Jordan Wayne (2017 vs. Desert in OT).

Davon joins a Division 1 Torero team that had a 7-4 season last year, including wins over Morehead State, Valparaiso, Stetson, and Drake University. Head coach Dale Lindsey leads the 11x Pioneer Football League Champions in his 9th season.
