The Marauders jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Amir Bankhead capped off a 4-play, 54 yards drive with a 21-yard touchdown run. Davon Jones then caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Caden Hinton with 18 seconds left in the quarter.
After giving up a touchdown and a field goal to the Rams in the second quarter, AVC responded with a 6-play, 52-yard drive, resulting in a 41-yard touchdown pass from Brycen Blankenship to Carlos Hill.
Bankhead then added a fourth-quarter 1-yard run for his second touchdown of the day. He led the Marauders with 145 rushing yards and two scores. Carlos Hill led in receiving with 2 receptions for 65 yards and a score. Davon Jones added 3 catches and 58 yards to go with his score. Jaylen Oneal added 3 catches for 26 yards, while Xavier Clay rushed 6 times for 34 yards.
Caden Hinton passed for 99 yards and a touchdown going 5-for-8, while Brycen Blankenship went 8-22 with 75 yards and a touchdown.
The Marauders (1-1) will play Mt. San Jacinto (0-1) on the road next Saturday (9/18) before returning home on October 2 to face Citrus.
