Antelope Valley came away with a 33-13 victory against College of the Sequoias in their only home contest of the season.
AVC's offense proved to be too much for the Giants. The attack was lead by Davon Jones, who caught eight receptions for 137 yards and three touchdowns.
Caden Hinton went 20-34 with 220 yards passing and three touchdowns, while Xavier Clay rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown.
The Marauders wasted little time scoring in the first period's opening minutes with a blocked punt recovered by Dedrick Moore and taken in for the score. The Giants were able to stay within striking distance with a pair of field goals and went into half-time down 12-6 after Jones' first touchdown reception in the second period.
It was in the third period when the Marauders opened the gap with three more touchdowns. Jones added two touchdowns while Clay found the endzone on a 51-yard touchdown run.
The Giants were held in check for the entire third quarter but managed to score late in the final period.
The two teams will go at it again at COS on Saturday, March 27th at 2:00 pm.
