MARAUDERS RECEIVE 15 SCFA CONFERENCE HONORS INCLUDING CO-DEFENSIVE MVP, CO-COACH OF THE YEAR, AND 5 1ST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE AWARDS.
Conference honors were awarded to 14 Marauders for the 2019 season. Kalai Clark received Co-Defensive MVP while Tyler Selvig (QB), Jalen Perdue (DB), Augustin Lorfils (S), Jaylynn Harvey (LB), and Hakim Simmons (OL) all received 1st Team All-Conference awards.
Harrison Starling, Enzo Fantau-Barker, Jaylen O'Neil, Jaylen Miller, Davon Jones, Errius Collins, and Acruest Clay each received 2nd Team honors. Jaylen Perdue also picked up his second honor by winning 2nd Team votes as a Kick Return Specialist.
Coach Perry Jehlicka was awarded Co-Coach of the year. Jehlicka led Antelope Valley to a 7-3 overall record and finished second in the American Mountain League Conference with a 4-1 record.
DL Kalai Clark led the Marauders in sacks, tackles for loss, and tackles for loss yardage. The 6'1, 296-pound Freshman, also contributed offensively in numerous short-yardage situations.
1st Team All-Conference quarterback Tyler Selvig led AVC in passing with 171 completions for 1159 yards and 13 touchdowns. Selvig also led the Marauders in rushing touchdowns with five as he carried the ball 103 times for 346 yards. The 6'2, 205-pound Freshman has received offers from Division 1 Morehead State University, Wagner University, and Robert Morris University, among others.
1st Team All-Conference recipient Augustin Lorfils led Antelope Valley in tackles on the season with 67, while finishing tied with Jalen Perdue in interceptions as they had three each. Perdue also led the Marauders in return yards with 385 with one touchdown. He averaged 25 yards per return.
Jaylynn Harvey finished second in tackles with 51 and added one interception.
