MARAUDERS SHUT OUT CITRUS IN CONFERENCE BATTLE

The Marauder defense dominated as they had an answer for the 7-1 Owls who were coming off a 41-19 loss to San Bernardino Valley. AVC was led by Bross Lee, Kijante Figures, and Brannen Goodman, who each had seven tackles. AVC recorded four interceptions on the day. One by John Robinson, Jaylin Cochran, Augustin Lorfils, and one by Kijante Figures, who returned his 34 yards for a touchdown.
DL Kalai Clark also led the way with two sacks for the Marauder defense, which recorded a total of six sacks for a total loss of 47 yards.
Antelope Valley's defense was strong, but the offense also got it done by scoring a touchdown in three of the four quarters. Errius Collins caught a 22-yard pass from Tyler Selvig in the opening period, giving the Marauders the early lead on an eight-play, 60-yard drive. Collins finished with five receptions for 54 yards and one touchdown. He also leads the Marauders in receiving on the season with 43 catches for 689 yards.
Selvig led all passers with 208 yards and a touchdown, completing 17 of 32 attempts. Selvig also scored a rushing touchdown in the third quarter from eight yards out. Jalen Miller led AVC in receiving with five receptions for 88 yards.
The Marauders have won three straight and will battle Victor Valley on the road in their final regular season game on Saturday, November 16th.
