Antelope Valley College Baseball won two games against Taft College 8-4 on Saturday and 13-4 on Tuesday.

Antelope Valley College Baseball won two games against Taft College 8-4 on Saturday and 13-4 on Tuesday.
Gavin Klennert led AVC offensively with a combined 6 RBI off 3 hits. Cody Turner went 2-for-3 with 4 RBI, including his third home run of the season. Tuner leads the Western State-South Conference in home runs and batting average at .536 over 10 games. Eddy Stone had 4 hits and an RBI, KB Bell had 3 hits and an RBI, and Braydan Salinas added 3 hits and 3 RBI. Salinan sits atop the conference in RBI with 18, followed by Klennert (16), and Turner (15). Aidan Morgan recorded 3 hits and an RBI and Elias Frainier added 2 RBI off 2 hits.
Drew Lueders got his conference-leading third win with 5 strikeouts through 6 innings, while Aidan Morgan added 3 Ks in just over 2 innings in game 1. In game 2, Turner struck out 8 in 5 innings, and Gilberto Beltran struck out 4 in 4 innings.
The Marauders are now 9-1 and will next play at Cerro Coso on Friday, Feb. 14, if weather permits. Their next home game is a two-game series scheduled for Feb. 20 and 21st.
