Antelope Valley Baseball won game three of the series against Victor Valley 11-10 on Thursday. The Marauders scored their 11 runs off 9 hits while committing 1 error. They were led by Nick Hagen (2-for-4, 3 RBI), but it was Jason Zhang who delivered the walk-off hit to score Keon Moseni in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Zhang finished 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and 3 walks while Moseni, Josh Nuno (2), Jack Rogers, Zach Terry, and Aidan Jbara each recorded hits. Rogers, Moseni, and Daniel Munoz also recorded an RBI each.
After winning five straight, including all three against Victor Valley, the Marauders lost an intense battle 6-3 against San Bernardino Valley on Friday.
AVC scored a run in the third inning off a Josh Nuno sacrifice and another in the fourth inning from a Daniel Munoz RBI single. Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Aidan Jbara gave Antelope Valley the lead with an RBI single. But despite totaling 14 hits on the day, AVC failed to put any more runs up while surrendering four more runs to the Wolverines. Josh Barendregt recorded 5 strikeouts in six innings of work on the mound.
The Marauders are now 7-8 and will begin a three-game series against Glendale. Games one (3/7) and two (3/9) are at Glendale, and game three is at AVC on Saturday, 3/11, at 2:00 pm.
