Marauder Athletics congratulates Jordan Wilson for receiving 2021 Southern All-State Award recognition.
Wilson led the Marauders with six home runs and 22 RBI on the season. The All-State infielder also had a team-high .341 batting average and scored a leading 21 times with 30 hits on the year.
Wilson came to AVC as a freshman from Parkway High School in Bossier City, LA. The 6'2, 205-pound right-hander has just recently committed to play for Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon. In January, Bushnell announced the relaunch of a baseball team for the first time in over 50 years as it became the university's 17th sport. The Beacons compete in the NAIA's Cascade Collegiate Conference and will be under the leadership of head coach Tommy Richards. Richards was a four-year letter winner at Washington State University from 2009-2012 and was drafted in the 24th round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2012.
Wilson seeks to make an immediate impact with the Beacons.
