Marauder Baseball's Andrew Garcia has committed to play for the University of Antelope Valley. The 5'11 utility player from Quartz Hill will receive a scholarship from the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season.
Garcia played 36 games for AVC last season with a team-high 66 innings pitched. He also led the team with five wins and 44 strike-outs.
Garcia had a .315 batting average, with 18 RBI and four stolen bases.
The University of Antelope Valley competes in the NAIA Region II California Pacific Conference. The Pioneers (35-19-1) won the California Pacific Conference Championship for the fourth straight year this past season, and it was their third-consecutive season making the NAIA Opening Round.
