AVC Baseball took a 10-3 loss in the first of a three games series against Citrus College.
The Marauders scored first when Hank Alfaro singled to right and JJ Holiday scored. Alec Sanchez increased the lead with an RBI single in the 4th inning to put AVC ahead 2-0 heading into the fifth.
The Owls then scored five runs in the 5th inning and never lost the lead after that. AVC scored one more run in the 7th inning when Wyatt Hendrie tripled to left-center field scoring Freddie Garcia. Both Hendrie and Alec Sanchez finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Hank Alfaro finished 3-for-4 with an RBI.
The Marauders are now 14-22 on the season and 7-11 in the conference. They will play at Citrus on Thursday before returning home to face them on Friday at 2:30 pm.
