AVC Baseball held off Victor Valley in a 6-4 conference game. Tied 1-1 going into the 3rd inning, JJ Holiday doubled to left field scoring Griffin Hagen. Alec Sanchez then hit a single to center field to score Wrench Perry giving the Marauders a 4-1 lead.
Victor Valley scored one in the 6th inning, and one in the 7th inning to pull within a run. But Griffin Hagen tripled to left center scoring Andrew Garcia. Wrench Perry then scored Hagen with a sacrifice fly to center. Hagen finished 3-3 with two RBIs while Wrench finished 1-3 with two RBIs and Sanchez had two RBIs going 1-3.
The Rams were able to score another run in the 8th inning, but the Marauders them off in the 9th to get the win.
Hagen also got the win on the mound striking out six batters in six and two-thirds innings of work. Spencer Foley picked up the save with two strikeouts in two and a third innings.
The Marauders (11-16) have won two of their last three and will face the Rams again on April 6th before returning home to battle Barstow on April 9th at 2:30 pm.
