Marauders Baseball lost a hard-fought battle with College of the Canyons 16-12. AVC scored their twelve runs off of 15 hits, including a three-run home run by Wyatt Hendrie. Hendrie finished 3 for 5 with 4 RBIs. DH Carlos Martinez-Mora went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Michael Haith and Andrew Garcia also chipped in with two hits and 2 RBIs each.
The Marauders pulled within a couple of points three times but were never able to get over the hump. Starter Griffin Hagen struck out two batters, and Ricky Jimenez struck out 4 in the losing effort.
AVC is now 5-10 and will face Glendale College away before returning home for a matchup against Victor Valley on March 12th.
