LANCASTER - AVC Men's Baseball lost to Taft College 8-15 in Tuesday's matchup at Marauder Baseball Stadium.
AVC scored 2 runs in the 1st inning after Taft scored 3, but the Marauders weren't able to keep the offense on track as they didn't score again until the 9th inning. The offense managed 8 runs off 5 hits, but the defense couldn't slow down the Cougars who scored 15 runs off of 17 hits.
JJ Holiday homered to left field for 3 RBIs and Celso Castro IV had 2 RBIs. Andrew Garcia (1-3) struck out 5 in a losing effort. The Marauders are now 5-8 and have lost five straight games since winning five straight. They will try to bounce back on the road against Taft on March 2nd. Their next home game will be against College of the Canyons on March 7th.
