LANCASTER - AVC's Griffin Hagen had a hot bat despite the cold 36-degree weather and snow flurries at Marauder Baseball stadium. Hagen had three RBI's on the day with a double and a two-run home run as the Marauders lost 11-5 to Cerro Coso.
Cerro Coso jumped out to an early five-run lead and kept the pressure on. AVC struck back in the bottom of the 3rd inning, but couldn't close the gap. Celso Castro and JJ Holiday both went 2-4 with Castro adding an RBI. Play was delayed due to snowy conditions, but Cerro Coso never lost momentum giving Marauder's Spencer Foley his first loss of the season.
The Marauders (5-5) will get a chance to even the score as they travel to Cerro Coso for a doubleheader on Saturday, February 23rd. Their next home game will be on February 26th against Taft.
