LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team saw its three-game winning streak snapped at the hands of LA Mission College, 6-2, Tuesday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
And the struggles for the Marauders at home continued as they are only 3-15 in front of their partisan crowd. AVC is 6-7 on the road this season.
With only five games remaining, AVC's (9-22, 5-11) goal to get to .500 in conference play won't happen this season.
After trailing 1-0, entering the bottom half of the first inning, the Marauders tied the score following an RBI double by Timothy Dodd which scored Aaron Hart.
However, LA Mission (13-18, 7-9) took the lead 5-1 following the next two innings by scoring one in the second inning and three in the third. Travis Tarnoff and Ian Nelson had two hits apiece and Nelson added the other RBI.
