LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team did something it hadn't done since Feb. 18 - win a home game.
AVC had no problems in a 14-4 victory over West LA College, Thursday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
The Marauders are now playing with a two-game winning streak and the offense, which has been stagnant during its recent eight-game losing streak, has broken out of its shell.
Over the past two games, the Marauders have scored 20 runs and pounded out 29 hits. Prior to this recent winning streak, AVC had lost eight consecutive games and only scored a total of 12 runs during that stretch.
Timothy Dodd led the Marauders' offensive resurgence with three hits, all doubles, and four RBI. All but one AVC player had a hit and six players had multiple hits.
Oh by the way, it has to be mentioned about the pitching performance by the Marauders' Shawn Hunt. Hunt, who probably had the second best pitching performance on Thursday since Clayton Rabiej tossed a no-hitter earlier this season.
Hunt pitched seven innings allowing only two hits and striking out seven. Hunt didn't allow a run.
