VALLEY GLEN - The offensive woes for the Marauder baseball team continued on Saturday afternoon as LA Valley College easily defeated AVC 10-0 at Monarch Stadium.
The Monarchs swept the series from the Marauders, whose losing streak has now reached a season-high eight consecutive games. AVC's last win came against Citrus College on Mar. 18 when the Marauders grabbed a 4-2 victory.
Aaron Hart (3-for-4) and Timothy Dodd (2-for-4), the team's leading hitter, combined for five of AVC's total eight hits. The Marauders stranded nine more base runners.
LA Valley had a huge eight-run first inning including nine hits putting the game out of reach. The Monarchs' Felipe Hernandez was sizzling on the mound as he scattered only five hits and struck out four while allowing no runs.
