LONG BEACH - The Marauder baseball team could only manage two hits in a 7-1 loss against Long Beach City College.
Clayton Rabiej and Aron Avila were the only two Marauders (4-8) to have hits on the afternoon. In the top of the seventh inning AVC trailed 2-0, Ian Nelson scored on a wild pitch giving the Marauders their only run.
The Vikings responded in the bottom half of the inning with five runs taking complete control of the game.
Rabiej (2-4) was the hard luck loser as he pitched six strong innings allowing only six hits and two earned runs while striking out five. Rabiej has been impressive this season with a 2.63 ERA.
The Marauders host Long Beach on Thursday afternoon, before entering conference play next Tuesday against Glendale College.
