Bio

Yecenia Perez grew up in the San Fernando Valley and excelled as a two-sport athlete.  Yecenia took her athletic skills to Glendale Community College where she coached for two years as an assistant for the Women’s Basketball program.  She quickly discovered her passion for helping others and soon became immersed in the athletic training program offered at Glendale. 

Excelling as a student, she pursued her Bachelors in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge.  Yecenia then attended Florida International University where she received her Masters in Athletic Training.  Yecenia quickly immersed as a well-respected Athletic Trainer in the Miami-Dade County Public School District where she started a student athletic training program and implemented policies and procedures to improve her school.  Yecenia has now come back to her home of Southern California where she is excited to be a part of the Antelope Valley Community.
