MARAUDERS SWEEP WEST LA
AVC Women's Volleyball was clicking on all cylinders as they beat West LA College in straight sets in Wednesday's conference match-up.

AVC Women's Volleyball was clicking on all cylinders as they beat West LA College in straight sets in Wednesday's conference match-up. The Marauders came into the match with a 4-5 record and looking to pull even. They got off to a fast start behind Taylor Mobley's four first-set kills, winning 25-17. Mobley, a recent CCCWVCA Player of the Week recipient, led all players with 14 kills.
West LA showed some life as the gained momentum early in the second set, but AVC put the pressure on and caused multiple unforced errors. AVC took the second set 25-15. Mobley and Tara Volack each had three kills in the set. Mobley also had 3 aces.
The Marauders dominated throughout the third set winning 25-15. It was Mobley leading the way again with seven third set-kills. Volack finished with six kills. Valerie Vergara and Brianna Bowen each had 8 digs on the day, while Bailey Whiteford led with 19 assists. Estrella Bradford finished with 5 kills, 11 assists and a block.
The Marauders (5-5) will face Canyons, Glendale, and Citrus on the road, before returning home on October 11th to battle Santa Monica.
