WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN SEASON OPENER
Taylor Mobley led AVC with 13 kills while Estrella Bradford had six kills and 15 assists. Freshmen Tara Volack finished with eight Kills.

Marauder Women's Volleyball fell to Rio Hondo 1-3 in their season opener. Estrella Bradford provided the spark with four first game kills as AVC got off to a fast start winning the first set 25-21. Andrea Alonso and Taylor Mobley had three kills each in the game. The Marauders rallied behind the solid play of Mobley and Tara Volack in the second and third games but lost 20-25 and 21-25. Mobley led AVC with 13 kills while Volack finished with eight and Bradford with six kills and 15 assists.
Alonso finished with three aces and 11 points scored on serve, but the Marauders lost the final game 16-25. Bailey Whiteford led the team in assists with 18. The Marauders will look to bounce back in their second match of the season on this Friday at College of the Desert before returning home to face Cerro Coso next Friday, September 6th at 6:00 pm.
