PASADENA - Kaeley Avendano recorded her first double-double of the season by finishing with 17 kills and 10 digs, but the Marauder women's volleyball team dropped its fourth match in a row at the Pasadena City College Quad Tournament to Ventura College, 21-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-18, Saturday afternoon.
The Marauders (1-4) took the first set and had a golden opportunity to take a 2-0 lead, however, the Pirates (6-2) were able to hold on and win the next three sets.
Freshman Melissa Lee finished with five kills and 11 digs for AVC and teammate Elizabeth Perez added 11 digs. Taylor Williams finished with 25 assists.
