THEOLOGIDY CLAIMS STATE 3000 METER STEEPLECHASE CHAMPIONSHIP

BAKERSFIELD - Miriah Theologidy won the 3000 meter steeplechase in the CCCAA State Championship on Saturday, becoming the Marauders' 11th state titlist.
Theologidy won the title with an 11:28.35 clocking, 27 seconds ahead of second place Kimberly Solorio of Mt. San Antonio, but still off her school record 11:16.56 she set in winning the SoCal Regional title.
The Western State Conference steeplechase became the sixth Marauder woman to win an individual state championship, and the first AVC athlete to win the state steeplechase.
