PASADENA - Pasadena City College scored the first goal of the first half to take the lead against the Marauder women's soccer team, but the resiliency of AVC showed as it responded with a goal later in the first half and salvaged a tie against the undefeated Lancers, Friday afternoon at Pasadena City College.
Alyssa Sanchez scored at 44:48 for the Marauders (5-2-1) off the helper from Rielly Rasmussen to even the score, 1-1. The Lancers (6-0-1) got the board first with a goal by Summer Hofstad 11:06 into the first half.
Gabriela Espinoza had four saves for AVC. Pasadena outshot the Marauders 9-8.
