Women's Golf got off to a great start to their season on an extremely challenging day at San Dimas Golf Course.
Despite temperatures over 100 degrees and out of bounds in play on 12 holes, Women's Golf got off to a great start to their season
on an extremely challenging day at San Dimas Golf Course.
Freshman Terry Muller carded an 81 with 3 birdies, capped off by a chip-in birdie on hole 18. Terry's performance in her first collegiate tournament was good enough for 5th overall in a field of 36 players. "Terry's performance today displayed her hard work and technical improvements," said head coach Patrick Londono.
Taylor Waters, another standout Freshman for the Marauders, recorded an 86. She hit 12 of 14 of the narrow San Dimas fairways, carding 1 birdie, which was good for 7th place overall. "Taylor did a great job striking the golf ball and managing her game, highlighting her hard work in those facets of the game," said Londono.
Sarah Baltimore scored a 117 on the tough course with 2 pars on the day. "We gave great effort today, which is the most important element in challenging conditions. I look forward to what the future has in store for this group." Londono added.
Next up for the Marauders is Western State Conference match #3 at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo on Monday, Sept. 18.
