KLUNDT SHOOTS 78, TIES FOR SECOND IN SANTA BARBARA
SANTA BARBARA - Michaela Klundt shot a 78 on Monday at the Western State Golf match hosted by Santa Barbara City College at the Santa Barbara Community golf course.
"I didn't think I was playing my best (on Monday), but I managed to grind it out and produce a score that I was satisfied with," Klundt said. "Overall the other girls felt they could've played better too. I guess it was just an off day for everyone. We all still feel pretty confident about this season and hopefully we can all come together as a team to try and place higher at these tournaments."
Marauder head coach George Fetters agreed.
"The remaining team (on Monday) is showing signs of improvement and continuing to improve their play," he said.
Klundt finished tied for second overall with SBCC's Vanessa Watkins. College of the Canyons' JoJo Roecker shot the best round of the day finishing with a 73.
SBCC won the overall team match with a score of 329. The Marauders finished with a score a 429.
