VALLEY GLEN - The Marauder women's basketball team had one of its poorest shooting nights of the season and was outscored 23-6 in the first quarter as LA Valley College got a little bit of revenge against with the Marauders cruising to an easy 78-45 victory, Wednesday night at LA Valley College.
AVC shot a dismal 24 percent from the field and was only 5-of-26 from 3-point range.
Earlier this season, the Marauders defeated the Monarchs at home to capture first place, however, LA Valley evened the scored and claimed a part of first place with AVC.
Makaela Manson led the Marauders with 14 points but was only 4-of-18 from the field. Deja Smith finished with 10 points on 5-of-17 shooting. The Monarchs outscored AVC, 42-16, inside the paint.
