Marauder Softball fell 1-0 and 3-1 in their best-of-three Regional Playoff series against the Saddleback Bobcats. AVC played solid defense in Game 1 with no errors, but slow bats were costly as they only managed 1 hit by Jeannette Camarena.
The bats improved in Game 2 with Natalia Hernandez, Hartley Lundquist, Analise Memory, Kaili York, and Mia Romero all recording hits. York provided the only RBI with a sacrifice fly to center field. Defensively, the Marauders only committed 1 error, but several walks helped Saddleback manage 3 runs with no hits.
Despite the early playoff exit, the Marauders had a remarkable season, capped off by 9 players receiving Western State-South Conference Honors. Natalia Hernandez, Jolene Miramontes, and Jeannette Camarena were named 1st Team All-Conference, Marley Delgado, Kaili York, Mia Romero, and Analise Memory were named 2nd Team All-Conference, and Marissa Rodriguez and Payton Marlin were given Honorable Mention.
Antelope Valley finished with an overall record of 27-11.
