Marauder Softball breezed past the Oxnard Condors 21-3 on Thursday. AVC's offensive firepower, which included two home runs by Ariel Nieto, was too much for Oxnard. Nieto finished 4-for4 and led AVC with six RBI. She also leads the Marauders on the season with a .545 batting average, 18 hits, and three home runs.
Nayely Delgado (2-for-3/2 RBI) and Savannah Moakley 1-for-1/2 RBI) each recorded a home run. Alexa Alvarez went 2-for3 with three RBI while Trinity Holman also had three RBI, going 2-for-4. Maritza Arroyo added three hits and two RBI.
Both Mycaela Chavez and Arianna Arroyo had a hit and an RBI, and Hailey Johnson recorded an RBI with two hits and scored a team-high four runs.
Bailey Damian struck out three of twelve batters faced in the circle. Hailey Johnson struck out one batter in two innings of relief.
The Marauders, 6-3 overall, are scheduled to play Oxnard again on Saturday the 8th, and Taft College on Thursday the 13th, before returning home to face Moorpark.
