CULVER CITY - The hit squad was in full effect for the Marauder softball team pounded out 21 hits and had an easy time with West LA with a convincing 20-1 victory, Tuesday afternoon.
It was the 12th victory this season that AVC has defeated its opponent in five innings.
Alexis Robles led the charge as she finished 3-for-3 with five RBI. All three of her hits were triples. Taylor Roberts was 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Roberts' 51 RBI on the season leads the state.
Isabelle Gomez joined the hit parade after finishing 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Samantha Arraiga was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and starting pitcher Krystan Cook finished the game 3-for-4 with one RBI. Cook pitched all five innings allowing only one earned run on three hist and striking out seven.
Kaitlynn Dardar added a two-run home run and a triple for the Marauders. AVC had a total of 14 extra-base hits.
